In short

PersonaPact is a discipline app that backs the promises you make to yourself with collateral. It currently runs on a test network; PACT has no monetary value.

There are two kinds of data: records written to the chain, which are public and permanent, and information we keep on our servers to run the app. We keep as little as possible and we never sell any data.

What is public and permanent

Protocol starts, collateral amounts, dates, results, the book you choose in the reading protocol and savings deposits are written to PersonaPact Chain and the Celestia data layer together with your wallet address.

Anyone can see these records on PactScan and Celestia explorers. No one, including us, can change or delete them. Your wallet address doesn't contain your name, but if you share it with others, these records can be linked to you.

Sign in with Google

When you sign in with Google, Google gives us a verified sign-in token. From it we keep only your Google account's permanent ID and link it to your wallet. We don't keep your name, email address or profile picture.

Your wallet's 12-word recovery phrase is stored encrypted in our database, so you can open your wallet from any device with the same Google account. On the wallet page you can take your words and move the wallet fully into your own hands.

What we keep on our servers

The state of your protocols is stored against your wallet address: the book you chose, the interests you wrote for book recommendations, your quiz progress and your savings cycles.

When you claim your starting PACT, we keep the time of the claim and your IP address to prevent abuse and make sure each wallet can claim only once.

Services we work with

Anthropic (Claude): receives the interests you write and book details to generate recommendations and quiz questions.

Google: sign-in with Google. Cloudflare Turnstile: filters automated requests when you claim PACT.

Vercel: hosts the website and the app; anonymous, cookieless visit counts on the website (Vercel Web Analytics). Render: the server that runs PersonaPact Chain. Upstash: database. Celestia: the public data layer.

What stays on your device

Your wallet key and address are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage), and your language choice in a cookie. Anyone with access to your browser can use your wallet; on a shared device, sign out when you're done.

Deletion and your rights

You can ask us to delete the data on our servers linked to your wallet or Google account by writing to personapact@gmail.com. If we delete the record of a wallet you opened with Google, we can no longer open it, so take your 12 words first.

Records written to the chain and to Celestia technically can't be deleted.

Children

PersonaPact isn't designed for people under 16.
